Below are some problem sum questions taken from my P6 student's prelims paper. I dont know how are kids nowadays handling this kinda stress. STRICTLY NO ALGEBRA ALLOWED. USE MODELS TO ILLUSTRATE IF POSSIBLE.

1. At a Carnival, there were 260 more boys than girls. 3/5 of the boys and 1/4 of the girls left the carnival. In the end, there were 50 more girls than boys. How many more boys were there at the carnival in the end? (5marks)


2. A fruit seller had 360 oranges and pears at first. 60% of the oranges and 20% of the pears were sold. There were 152 oranges and pears sold. How many pears were not sold? (5marks)


3. At 1.30pm, a van left Town A for Town B and travelled at a constant speed. 1 hour later, a car left Town A for Town B and overtook the van at 5.30pm. The Speed of the car was 32km/h faster than that of the van.
(a) What was the speed of the van?
(b) What was the distance between Town A and town B if the car was 14km away from Town B at 5.30pm?


4. George gets $0.40 more pocket money than Lisa everyday. Each of them spends $0.60 a day and saves the rest. If Lisa saves $30 and George saves $20 more, how much pocket money does Lisa get a day?


5. Ali, Ben and Charles shared the cost of a present. The ratio of the amount paid by Ali to the total amount paid by Ben and Charles was 2:3 while Ben's share was 20% of the total amount paid by Ali and Charles. Given that Charles paid $84 more than Ben, how much did the present cost?

been busy working working working. nothing much to update. bf: same, work: getting busier each day, family: same only that bala is in aust enjoying now, pocket: ABIT more $ but soon will be all gone, plans for holiday with bf: none, plans for holiday with friends: pending, direction in life: none, Goals: none.


having this same weird feeling that I used to have. i dont know how to put it in words. Just feel like a loser, not achieving much in life and disappointed in everything.
